Our Mission & Purpose
The Carbon Hill Volunteer Rescue Squad is an officially recognized 501(c)(3) tax-exempt public safety and emergency medical services organization.
Organized under IRS EIN 63-1130522, our primary purpose is to deliver pre-hospital emergency care, vehicle extrication, search and rescue services, and disaster assistance to Carbon Hill and rural communities throughout Walker County, Alabama.
Our team consists of dedicated volunteer first responders, medical personnel, and rescue technicians who serve on call 24 hours a day to safeguard life and property.
Core Objectives
- Life-Saving Emergency Care: Provide first-response emergency medical triage and aid.
- Rescue & Extrication: Rapid response for motor vehicle crashes and technical rescue scenarios.
- Search & Rescue: Locate missing persons across rural terrain in coordination with law enforcement.
- Disaster Relief: Assist civic authorities during severe storm events and localized emergencies.
Services Provided to the Community
Emergency Medical Response
